Album listening sessions are back! This time, we are playing one of the most mysterious and praised records of the last year: 'Untitled (Black Is)' by Sault. This amazing record was released just 2 weeks after last year's Black Lives Matter protests and took the world by storm. The timing was perfect, as it seemed to accurately capture the frustration and message of the protests. Moreover, nobody knows who is behind the project. Is it a collective? Or a single producer? Which artists are involved?
For these sessions, we are working together with local record stores to select the best records to play in our cosy hub. This session is co-organized by Velvet Rotterdam, who will also sell a few records by SAULT afterwards. They are also sponsoring the vinyl record that we will play during the session.
Listening sessions allow you to experience music in the way the artist intended it. FOCUS ensures a cosy, relaxed setting and a high-quality sound system for the optimal listening experience. Speakers are provided by Dutch & Dutch, a Rotterdam-based manufacturer of amazing monitor speakers. Get ready to sit back, relax, close your eyes and listen.
