Madaga-What? Challenge your knowledge about Madagascar while supporting its women!
There is more to Madagascar than lemurs and beautiful beaches! Malagasy Women Empowerment organises a pub quiz night to raise funds for a project supporting women entrepreneurs in Madagascar. Come to the CultureHub to spend a nice evening of music and fun with your friends and relatives.

After a brief presentation of our project, we will have a live music session with Beatrice Milanese- an upcoming jazz singer and composer- followed by a pub quiz! Madagascar is still quite foreign to people in the Netherlands and we want to shed light on its beauty, its people and its culture. After that, you are more than welcome to stay, the CultureHub will remain open for more music and drinks!
Malagasy Women Empowerment was founded 3 years ago in France and evolved into an association of over 250 volunteers in France, Madagascar and in the Benelux region. Our mission is to improve the living condition and the image of Malagasy women.

Beatrice Milanese is a singer, composer, and performer of jazz and experimental music. She studied jazz singing at the Conservatory of Vicenza (Italy) before moving to Rotterdam, where she currently lives. She recently completed her Master's degree in jazz singing and jazz composition at Codarts. Check out her

Valentina is a food experience designer, a gastronome and nutritional coach with a holistic and creative mindset. She embraces different food cultures and works with artists, designers and musicians in order to offer you extraordinary sensory experiences. She previously hosted a story telling event featuring a speaker from Madagascar and contributed significantly to organising this event.
